Our good friend Kevin Goad at Inter-Island Solar Supply invited us to install both a Solar H2O system and PV system on his home in Kapahulu. This comprehensive approach will reduce the bulk of his energy bill with the solar water system alone. Hot water use typically is about 40% of the residential electricity bill in Hawaii. With solar hot water, almost all of those costs are eliminated.

For the remaining energy, our custom sized photovoltaic system will harness the strong solar radiance in the Kapahulu area to usable electricity for the lights and appliances. Kevin has also chosen to add a battery backup to the system so that hard-earned solar energy is usable at night, too!
